By plane
The nearest airport is the "Valerio Catullo" in Villafranca-Verona, 33 kilometres from Mantua. Daily flights are scheduled from Rome, Naples, Cagliari, Olbia, Catania and Palermo (Meridiana Airlines , tel. (0039) 199 111333). From the airport there is a shuttle bus service every 20 minutes to Verona Railway station, from where it is possible to reach Mantua by train.

Other airports: "Gabriele D'annunzio" in Montichiari-Brescia (60 kilometres), "Giuseppe Verdi" in Parma (60 kilometres); "Borgo Panigale" di Bologna (100 kilometres) and "Orio al Serio" in Bergamo (100 kilometres).

By train
Easy to get there from Verona (45 minutes) and from Modena (55 minutes), on the Verona-Modena line, and from Milan (2 hours).
Other lines: Milano-Cremona; Suzzara-Ferrara; Pavia-Monselice-Padova, Vicenza.
The Railway station is located a few minutes walking distance from the historic centre.
