In 1997, the municipalities of twelve enchanting art cities of the Po Valley, Alessandria, Bologna, Brescia, Cremona, Lodi, Mantua, Modena, Parma, Pavia, Piacenza, Reggio Emilia and Verona, decided to created a network.
These cities by the Po river are very well linked up by roads and
railways, and also by the airports of Bologna, Bergamo, Brescia, Verona
and Parma.
Through this network, the Art Cities of the Po Valley, which are situated in four of the most important Italian regions (Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, Piedmont and Veneto), offer art and culture to all the visitors who are looking for new routes across exciting places and tastes.
Although they offer great tourist amenities, these precious historical
centres are not museums in the open crowded by tourists; rather, they
are places where it is possible to admire the architectural beauties
very quietly and, most of all, get to know the art city in its present
times.
We aim at offering a quick and user-friendly information system
to those tourists who want to know about the main amenities of the
city, the guided tours, the local products and the most important
events during the year, so that they can easily draw from different
sources of information to plan customized tours.
In the site there are many offers for a stay, organised according to many different subjects:
from art to nature, from gastronomy to important events; this area is worth visiting for many reasons.
We wish you a nice surf in the web, and we are waiting for you in our cities for a real visit.
